Looking for a happening hotspot for dinner and micro-brews? Look no further than Alexandria’s in downtown Findlay. The restaurant opened three weeks ago, featuring authentic Mexican cuisine. “We have great tacos and serve things small plate style, we’ve got a great chef — Michael Bulkowski of Revolver,” says Jacob Rowland, the restaurant’s manager. Alexandria’s is also inspired by its surroundings, purchasing ingredients from local farmers and butchers. But what could be better than mouthwatering concoctions and savory dinners? Alexandria’s, named for owner Mike Mallett’s daughter, boasts an old-fashioned bowling alley upstairs. Lovingly nicknamed Ali’s the 12-lane bowling alley has been operational since the 1930s. With above ground ball returns, patrons can enjoy a simpler time, even having to keep score by hand. “It’s completely original,” says Rowland.
