The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation, in collaboration with the United Way of Hancock County, is hosting Community Conversations 2020, a dialogue with members of the community to determine strengths and weaknesses and a path forward. “We talked with more than 1,000 Hancock County residents in 2017 and we’re hoping to build off of that in 2020,” said Brian Treece, program director at The Community Foundation. “(In 2017) the community gave us five priority areas–housing; mental health/substance abuse; transportation; safety; and workforce/financial stability. Now, we want to talk specifically about those areas and what residents think can and should be done with these community priorities.” Community Conversations 2020 will take place March 29-April 5 throughout Hancock County. The Community Foundation and United Way are seeking groups of 8-12 people to participate in the conversations, which typically last 60-90 minutes.
