Findlay Superintendent to Step Down

Ed Kurt, superintendent of Findlay City Schools, is stepping down, at the end of July, after 6 years in Findlay, from his position at to return as superintendent of his former school district, Margaretta Local Schools. According to Kurt, the move is in line with his “true priorities of faith, family and then career” as it will bring him within 10 miles of five of his six grandchildren. Kurt implemented several programs and initiatives during his tenure in Findlay, including trauma-informed care and Leader in Me. “I am excited about the direction that Findlay City Schools is heading,” he wrote, “and I am thankful for the opportunity to serve … and work with such great people.” The Findlay school board has launched a search for a new superintendent.
