Dance and song will fill the stage as the annual Pointe of the Evening Ballet and Auction prepares to return to the Donnell Theater at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, April 9.
The annual event will see both classical ballet and contemporary dance performed, with appearances by performers from the Findlay Academy of Ballet and Findlay High School’s Voices In Perfection show choir. Organizers also indicate that there may be “a surprise or two” over the course of the evening.
The event acts as a fundraiser for the Chance 2 Dance Foundation’s scholarship fund, which provides financial support and guidance for area dancers. A silent auction will be held in the lobby of the theater beginning at 6:30pm, with the event starting at 7:30pm.
$18 for adults, $10 for students/children. 6:30pm. Marathon Center for the Performing Arts, 200 W. Main Cross St. 419-423-2787. For tickets, visit mcpa.org.
