Thanks to a local entrepreneur, the Virginia Theatre in North Baltimore reopened its doors in February, after closing in 2018 despite its more than 80 year history. Shawn Benjamin, the new owner, was motivated to reopen the theatre by nostalgia and a sense of community. The ticket and concession prices remain extremely reasonable, and the theatre is available for rental for parties and events.
