Sanctuary Salon opens on Broadway

A new hair salon opened at 219 Broadway across from the Findlay Hancock County Public Library. Owner Jole Stevens, who lives in Van Buren, has been a hair stylist for 20 years. “I wanted to spread my wings and create a salon that reflected my vision,” she says. Stevens had the building space completely remodeled, and it exudes an eclectic charm with an old fireplace from her husband’s grandmother, the original wood floors and tin ceilings. While Stevens hopes to hire two additional stylists, she wants to keep Sanctuary Salon small. “I want this to be an intimate and relaxing space where people can get away from the hectic real world and leave here ready to conquer it,” she said.
