Findlay receives grant to combat childhood obesity

The city of Findlay’s efforts to combat childhood obesity kicked into high gear with a $100,000 grant from the U.S. Conference of Mayors. The grant will expand Findlay’s “Keep Active, Keep Healthy” program, especially during the winter months. Some possible programs include ice skating lessons at the Cube, gym activities such as pinball (a type of indoor baseball), as well as kickball, racquetball, wallyball and yoga.
