Brothers and sisters will have the longestlasting relationship with a sibling who has special needs. Sibshops are designed for children ages eight through 13 who have brothers and sisters with special needs.
Children will have an opportunity to meet other brothers and sisters of children with special needs, talk with others who “get it”, learn more about disabilities and have fun. Sibshops are run by professionally
trained individuals who often share personal understanding of the impact a child’s special needs can have on brothers and sisters. Sibshops are held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at The Alternate Learning Center at 3939 Wrenwood in Toledo. Sibshops are free and open to the public on November 6, January 8, February 5, March 5, April 2 and May 7.
